What's Happening

Fiesta San Antonio

April means one thing in San Antonio: Fiesta. This 11-day celebration (April 16-26, 2026) fills downtown with color, culture, and nonstop energy.

April also brings a strong lineup of concerts and performances just steps from the River Walk: 

From Broadway hits to live concerts and opera, there’s something happening nearly every night downtown.

What's New

Civic Park at Hemisfair is now fully open, with green space, shaded areas, and a new stage for concerts and festivals. 

The Institute of Texan Cultures has reopened downtown with refreshed exhibits. 

The Gunter Hotel has been reimagined with updated rooms, a vinyl library, and new dining options. 

The brand-new Paris Baguette bakery offers coffee, pastries, and quick bites in a central location.

April is also ideal for getting outside! Bike, walk, or kayak along the river, and make time for the Espada Aqueduct, the oldest Spanish aqueduct in the United States.
