EXPERIENCES
A date doesn’t have to be a traditional dinner; take a unique cruise with Go Rio Cruises, which includes a Love Story Cruise, Jazz Sip & Cruise, and the Western History Cruise. Or head down to the Mission Reach and walk the El Camino de San Antonio Missions, the only place outside Europe where you can officially begin walking the El Camino de Santiago. This historical and cultural route spans over 12 miles and includes the five Spanish colonial missions throughout San Antonio.

EXPLORE
There’s a new area along the River Walk, and we think it’s the perfect spot for a romantic day date. The Creamery District is the newest culinary hub in the Alamo City, conveniently located along the Museum Reach section of the river. Two of the five concepts are open and include Hook Land & Sea and Creme Coffee + Social. The Hook Land & Sea menu features Mexican, Asian, and other international flavors. Inspired by the casual coffee houses of Europe, Crème is the spot for bubbles, desserts, and delicious coffee creations.

A Romantic adventure doesn’t have to cost a dime! There are many things to do on the River Walk for free. We recommend checking out the SAGA Light Show, which is a 24-minute, 7,000-sq. ft. projection video art installation display on the San Fernando Cathedral that runs each Tuesday through Sunday through 2024. Or pack a picnic and marvel at nature at the River Walk Museum Reach section. We recommend right behind Pearl — take a look here. Lastly, throughout the River Walk, you’ll encounter numerous public art installations. From sculptures to murals, the art along the river adds an extra layer of beauty to your romantic exploration.
