Eligibility: 

The Contest is open to anyone 18 years of age or older.  Participants must have a valid Social Security number in order for payment to be processed.  Costumes must be in good taste. Judges will determine eligibility and have sole authority and discretion.  NO Risqué or profane images or language incorporated in or on the costume. Couple or group costumes will be considered one entry.

Free to the Public. The parade will make 2 laps around the River Walk, beginning at the International Building traveling through Restaurant Row, the horseshoe bend, the River Walk Extension, Rivercenter Mall and through Arneson River Theatre.

Date: November 27, 2015   Time: 7:00PM - 9:00PM

The 34th Annual Ford Holiday River Parade is a San Antonio tradition drawing 1/4 of a million people annually. It offers a spectacular one-hour parade along the San Antonio River Walk featuring 28 illuminated floats decorated for the  2015 theme. Parade participants include celebrities, bands and lavishly-costumed people.   The parade goes on RAIN OR SHINE. Children 2 years of age or older will need a ticket. Tickets are non refundable.

Ford Holiday Boat Caroling

Throughout the 2 1/2 miles in the downtown area of the River Walk four or five boats float on the river each night carrying a different group each hour performing live Christmas Carols. More than 185 school, church, company, and civic choral groups participate each year. Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk. The public is invited to stroll on the banks of the river or sit outdoors in a restaurant to enjoy the caroling.

Throughout its long history, many people have contributed to the San Antonio River, but no one has been quite as influential as Robert H. H. Hugman, best known as Father of the River Walk.  On, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 a bronze bust of Hugman was unveiled on the River Walk to honor the man with a vision who inextricably changed the complexion of San Antonio.

America’s Armed Forces River Parade

May 16, 2015, 5pm-6, Tops In Blues Concert / 6-7pm Parade, Arneson Theatre

This parade is dedicated to the men and women of the Armed Forces; past, present and future.

26 patriotically-decorated floats carrying all 5 branches of military personnel ranging from enlisted to a general. Patriotic music is played from the floats and on stage to serenade the floats throughout the 2 1/2 mile downtown area of the River Walk including the Arneson Theatre. 

This is one of the largest Parades held on the River Walk. It is televised live locally and syndicated in 26 markets throughout the United Sates including the Pentagon Channel. The 2015 Grand Marshall’s are 3 Medal of Honor recipients General Patrick Brady, Sgt. Santiago Erevia, Sgt. Clarence Sasser.  The primary parade sponsors are Budweiser and Silver Eagle Distributor’s.

Hugman Bust Project

Hugman Bust Project

The Paseo del Rio Association’s mission is to promote, protect and preserve the San Antonio River Walk.  The association has gained permission to create and install a bronze bust of Robert H.H. Hugman, architect and "Father of the River Walk".  Please consider donating to this cause.  A fundraiser will be held on May 7th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Antonio to raise the final portion of the funds needed to erect the bust and to lanch a Hugman Architectual Scholarship at the University of Texas San Antonio.  TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR TONIGHT.  You may also make a tax deductable donation directly to the bust and scholarship fund through the link below.

April 21-24 from 7-10pm each day the River Walk will feature local middle school and high school Mariachi Bands perform on floating barges along the 2 1/2 mile downtown area of the River Walk. Enjoy the music from the banks of the River Walk as the barges float along.  This is a great time to sit outside at a River Walk restaurant, sip on a margarita and enjoy the music. Each set of barges will make one lap around the River Walk. Barges are not guranteed to stop in any particular place. You will see the boats from the patios of any river walk restaurant or Rivercenter Mall. Barges will load and unload at The Chamber of Commerce (river level).This is an official FIESTA event.  Free.

In conjunction with the American’s Armed Forces River Parade, the Yellow Ribbon Project provides the community with the opportunity to show their support for all branches of the military by sponsoring a yellow ribbon in honor or in memory of a loved one who is serving or has served.  Ribbons purchased from May 1-15, 2015 will not have their name appear in the parade program but will appear on the website.

Murphy's Pub Crawl

Murphy's Pub Crawl

Thursday, March 12, 6PM-10PM, starting address: Bier Garten - 126 Losoya St. (River Level) San Antonio, TX  78205

Participants will "crawl" from bar to bar through through 6 of the River Walk’s wildest and craziest fun bars. Walk in like ya' own the place with front of the line preferential entry. Special drink prices offered to each person on the crawl.  The group will be led by a bagpiper.

Tickets $30 at the door. Purchase price includes a Murphy’s Pub Crawl t-shirt, green St Patty’s hat, reduced drink prices all evening, no cover charges, front of the line entry to bars.

For more information call 210-227-4262. If you call the Paseo offices by 5pm on Wednesday, March 11 you can still get the advance ticket price of $25.

There are no physical tickets. Your name will be on a Will Call List and you will receive a wristband at the first location - Biergarten. Registration is at 6 PM. Limited to the first 150 people.

A procession of decorated river barges will transform the San Antonio River Walk into a floating Bourbon Street. Krewes of costumed revelers & live entertainment will celebrate Mardi Gras San Antonio Style! Enjoy live music on Arneson Stage from 11am to 7pm, and a festival of food, arts & crafts, activities and more at La Villita. Parade will take place 3pm-5pm.
