Candidates for 2012 River Walk Royalty

The male and female candidates who raise the most money are crowned River Walk King and Queen and represent the San Antonio River Walk as goodwill ambassadors throughout the year. The funds raised helped support the over 22 free events that the Paseo del Rio produces on the River Walk each year. Hurricanes & King's Cake promo at Luke

Now through February 17th, $1 from every Houston St. Hurricane and $1 from every King's Cake sold at Luke on the River Walk will benefit Chef Steven McHugh's campaign for 2012 River Walk King. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Only $10! Prizes include a 7 course dinner for 2 at Lüke, a one night stay at the Embassy Suites and a Beer Lovers Basket donated by the Friendly Spot. "Must Love Pets" Valentine Happy Hour at Grand Hyatt

BUD LIGHT Mardi Gras River Parade and Festival

A procession of decorated river barges will transform the San Antonio River Walk into a floating Bourbon Street. Krewes of costumed revelers & live entertainment will celebrate Mardi Gras San Antonio Style! Enjoy live music on Arneson Stage from 11am to 7pm, and a festival of food, arts & crafts, activities and more at La Villita. Parade will take place 3pm-5pm.

A family-friendly day of music, food and fun! Floats release 110 pounds of environmentally friendly green dye into the San Antonio River. The event transforms the 2.5 mile river into a miniature Emerald Isle where a proclamation is read, temporarily re-naming the river "The River Shannon".
