The Official Website of the San Antonio River Walk
The Paseo del Rio Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1968 to promote, protect and preserve the San Antonio River Walk, the number one tourist attraction in Texas. The Association accomplishes this through the production of special events along the River Walk throughout the year and through the publication of Rio Magazine, a monthly visitor magazine. The Association serves as an advocate, facilitator, and moderator among the business, civic, and governmental communities on matters concerning the River Walk. Become a member NOW

The 34th Annual Ford Holiday River Parade is a San Antonio tradition. It offers a spectacular one-hour parade on the San Antonio River Walk featuring 28 illuminated floats decorated for the 2015 theme; Holiday Memories. Lavishly decorated floats include celebrities, music and festive-costumed participants. This years' Grand Marshal is the Honorable Julian Castro, former San Antonio Mayor and homegrown son who resigned as mayor in 2014 to take a Cabinet position in Washington D.C.
Tickets must be purchased online. As of 11/24/15 seating is primarily available in map sections 12 and 13 and 21-27.
The Ford Holiday River Parade will be held rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the event of lightening in downtown San Antonio. It is also possible the parade may be delayed due to weather. Parade organizers will monitor the weather forecasts leading up to parade day and throughout parade day with the assistance of KABB TV meteorologist, Shaun Stevens. We will post a message here on this website in the event the parade is cancelled. TICKETS ARE NON REFUNDABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE FOR ANY REASON.
In the event of rain, we encourage parade-goers to wear rain ponchos. Open umbrellas may be used along the parade route as long as they do not block the view of other attendees. However, open umbrellas are not allowed if your seats are in the Arneson River Theatre.

Throughout the 2 1/2 miles in the downtown area of the River Walk four or five boats float on the river each night carrying a different group each hour performing live Christmas Carols. More than 185 schools, churches, companies, and civic choral groups participate each year. Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk. The public is invited to stroll on the banks of the river or sit outdoors on a restaurant patio to enjoy the caroling.
