Marriage Island

From Marriage Island to our very own Love Lock Bridge inspired by Pont des Arts in Paris, the San Antonio River Walk is truly a romantic place! This Valentine’s Day surprise your sweetheart (or family and friends), with a trip to the Alamo City.

Here are a few ways to explore the River Walk during the month of love:

River Walk Public Art Garden

Always open and free to the public, the River Walk Public Art Garden is located where Market and Alamo Street meet on the San Antonio River Walk. Visitors can explore an open-air art gallery celebrating San Antonio and international artists. The exhibit features permanent and rotating installations — you can find a map of what’s on display right now here.

Love Lock Bridge

Inspired by the Pont des Artes Love Lock Bridge in Paris, San Antonio has created its very own above the River Walk at 126 Main Plaza. Officially named the Kallison Love Lock Walk Bridge, this attraction brings locals and visitors from all over wanting to leave a memento in the form of a lock that symbolizes their love. BONUS: There’s a second mini love lock bridge at the Hyatt Regency!

Marriage Island

This romantic spot is a place you can actually rent on the River Walk to get married or renew vows. The island is said to bring good luck to new marriages but if you’re looking to just visit, you’ll encounter a couple of benches for sitting and public art

Selena Bridge

If you’re feeling really romantic or you just love pop culture, stop by the “Selena Bridge” located between N. St. Mary’s St. and Navarro. This bridge is where a romantic scene from the movie about the late Tejano Star, Selena, was filmed.
