River Walk Relief Concert Series

Join us on Facebook to watch The River Walk’s Relief Concert Series Beginning Friday, April 17, 2020, at Noon. The series will continue each Friday, from Noon -12:30 PM, at least through May 1st. Each episode will feature a musical artist or two, recipes, and messages from locals. Donations will be requested during the concert series.100% of the funds will be donated to Culinaria’s “HospitALLity House,” benefiting displaced restaurant workers (cooks, servers, busboys, bartenders) laid-off due to COVID-19 restaurant and bar closures. The program is powered by 150 local chefs who are preparing 1,000 meal kits and hot meals six days a week. Food kits are being distributed through the network of chefs, hotels, restaurants and bars. The operators call in orders for their furloughed employees and we get them ready. Each kits feed 10 people. 

The week of May 4, 2020, Hospitality House received $25,000 to support the program from individuals and businesses to provide relief to these hardworking folks.

Maggie Thompson, Executive Director of the San Antonio River Walk Association, stated, ” These displaced people represent the backbone of the hospitality industry. The San Antonio River Walk Association is proud to facilitate the Relief Concert Series, which we hope will drive more donations by those in the position to give.”
