The images in this folder were taken on April 2, 2020 during the COVID-19 quarantine. The River Walk and Downtown San Antonio businesses are observing mandated closures or modified services such as curbside pick-up or delivery only. The popular narrated tours and shuttle services offered by Go Rio Cruises were suspended and annual special events canceled. While the River Walk looks beautiful, the images have an eerie quality about them due to the absence of people enjoying the River Walk.

The River Walk is the #1 visited destination in Texas with 14 million people guests each year. Visiting the River Walk came to a screeching halt as the public observed mandatory home quarantine to prevent the spread set forth by city, county, state and national governments. This time of year is usually one of the busiest with Spring Breakers followed by Fiesta-goers.
