Drury Plaza Hotel River Walk

105 S. St. Mary’s Street San Antonio, Texas 78205

Welcome to the restoration of the 1929 Alamo National Bank Building into the Drury Plaza Hotel!

In 1929, a construction began on the $2,500,000 skyscraper, after the Alamo National Bank had outgrown its first bank building. San Antonio was at the point, the largest and richest city in Texas.

Using Art Deco ornamentation and the principles of the Beaux-Arts, the architecture firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst, and White designed the 24-story skyscraper and incorporated the Texas Stars and southwest patterns.  This architectural masterpiece has been a landmark in the San Antonio skyline since its construction.
