Mission Reach | San Antonio Riverwalk

Mission Reach

The River Walk Mission Reach is an eight-mile stretch that provides visitors with a very unique and historic view of San Antonio. This winding path is home of the historic San Antonio Missions Trail, a trail graced with four 18th century Spanish Colonial missions – Mission Concepción, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan and Mission Espada. Originally built to spread Christianity to the indigenous people inhabiting the city, today, all four missions still serve as active Catholic churches.

The Mission Reach can be enjoyed by foot or by bike, and there are plenty of beautiful areas to enjoy a picnic or simply sit and enjoy the unique and beautiful surroundings only San Antonio can provide.
