Travis Park Lighting Ceremony & H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting
November 24, 2017 | 3:00PM - 7:00PM
Location: 310 E. Travis Park, San Antonio 78205
H-E-B will kick off the holiday festivities with the annual tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 24. The celebration is free and open to the public and is combining with Centro San Antonio’s Annual Lighting of Travis Park where over 250,000 holiday lights will be on display. Adorned with more than 10,000 environmentally-friendly LED lights and custom-made ornaments, the 55-foot White Fir tree is H-E-B’s gift to the city. The H-E-B Christmas tree will be in Travis Park through Jan. 7, 2018.
“We invite residents and visitors to come downtown this holiday season, not just for the lighting ceremony, but for a wide array of programming in Travis Park and downtown,” said John Jacks, Center City Development & Operations Director. “Enjoy a ride on a new river barge and view the beautiful River Walk lights, come up to the street level and vote for your favorite holiday lighting display in the Mayor’s Light Up Downtown holiday lighting contest, and make your way to Travis Park for holiday themed movies, photos with Santa, live music, cocktails, and more!”
