Kiss Me I’m Irish is a curated Dinner & Drinks Progressive Culinary Walking Tour celebrating the delectable and hearty cuisine of the Irish, brought to you by the dedicated River Walk Magazine’s (Rio Magazine) Food & Drink Writer, Kimberly Suta.
PLEASE NOTE: Ticket price is per person, not per couple.
1st Stop: Beer/Cocktails & Apps at the Little Rhein Prost Haus
The first stop is located at historic La Villita in a beautiful century-old building overlooking the San Antonio River. They also have a fabulous patio. Although technically Prost Haus is German-focused, they know how to celebrate their Irish brethren as well!
Beer or Cocktail (choose one): With a variety of imported beers and signature drinks on offer, we’ll let you choose your favorite (from within a set price range)!
Appetizer: Reuben Spring Rolls
These scrumptious housemade egg rolls are made with slow-cooked corned beef mixed with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut ,breaded and fried golden. Served with Prost secret sauce.
2nd Stop: Beer/Cocktails at Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub
When celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, a visit to the famous Durty Nelly’s is a must! Located along the River Walk (of course), this popular Irish Pub and piano bar is a replica of the original Durty Nelly’s in Ireland, which dates back to 1620. This stop is just for drinks and, if you’re feeling brave, a little bit of singing as well!
Beer or Cocktail (choose one): Here, we’ll let you choose your own beer or cocktail as well (from within a set price range).
3rd Stop: Main Course at Waxy O’Conner’s Irish Pub (Entrées Individually Plated)
Waxy’s, owned and operated by a true Irishman, serves up the best Irish grub in San Antonio, and I can’t wait to share it with you! It’s nice to know we don’t have to travel all the way to Ireland for some authentic Irish cuisine.
Dinner includes your choice of one of the following entrees:
– Fish & Chips: The best in town! Includes 3 fresh cod filets dipped in a special beer batter and fried golden. Served with hand-cut fries.
– Shepard’s Pie: This traditional dish is so rich and savory! Made with angus beef and a velvety gravy with peas under a blanket of toasted mashed potatoes.
– Bangers and Mash: If you haven’t tried this classic meal, now’s your chance! Made with imported Irish sausage with sauteed onions and gravy. Served with mashed potatoes.
Additionally: Dinner at Waxy’s includes Iced Tea and a Mini Dessert of Waxy’s homemade Bread & Butter Pudding (a traditional style bread pudding made with raisins and a touch of brandy.
PLEASE NOTE: Additional drinks may be purchased at each stop at the guest’s expense, as long as time permits.
