Margarita Madness is a curated Drinks & Appetizer-Focused Progressive Culinary Walking Tour showcasing the best River Walk Margaritas & Mexican appetizers, brought to you by the dedicated River Walk Magazine’s (Rio Magazine) Food & Drink Writer, Kimberly A. Suta.

PLEASE NOTE: Ticket price is per person, not per couple.

1st StopAcenar (this is where we will meet at 5:15 sharp )
The first stop is located on Houston St. next to Hotel Valencia. Acenar has been a staple of downtown for years and features some of the best Tex-Mex in the Alamo City and a gorgeous view of the San Antonio River.

Frozen or on the rocks Margarita (choose one): Traditional or Patron Mango.

Appetizer: Ceviche (lime-marinated white fish) with housemade chips and avocado.

2nd Stop: Iron Cactus
Iron Cactus is a Mexican Restaurant with their very own Margarita Bar and has superb views of the river from their River Walk-level patio.

Margarita (choose one): Traditional, Spicy Watermelon or Peanut Butter

Appetizer: Quesadillas – Smoked chicken with caramelized onion, poblano peppers, serrano-raspberry BBQ sauce AND Brisket with black beans, caramelized onions and lime crema.

3rd Stop: Boudro’s Texas Bistro
Get ready for a delicious experience at one of my favorite dining spots on the River. Boudro’s has been a River Walk hot spot for decades for its exceptional S. Texas cuisine and vivacious atmosphere.

Margarita (choose one): Boudro’s Famous Prickly Pear Margarita or Traditional

Appetizer: Mesquite-Grilled Quail on pepper jack grits with fried parsley, jalapeño chips and a chipotle demi-glace.

PLEASE NOTE: Additional drinks may be purchased at each stop at the guest’s expense, as long as time permits.
