Kayaking on the River Walk
Advanced Reservation Required | Friday, Saturday, Sunday, & Monday mornings
Enjoy kayaking along the world- famous San Antonio River Walk as it winds through the Downtown Business District. This easy 3.5 mile flat-water kayak trip is great for beginner kayakers and families.
KAYAK RENTALS (Not a guided tour)
This is NOT a guided kayak tour, you are free to enjoy the river on your own.

- Kayak, paddles, life vest, and launch fee are included in the 2 hour rental fee.
Bring Your Own Kayak: LAUNCH FEE –Not a rental- No Inflatable Kayaks Allowed
- You must bring your own kayak, paddles, and life jacket.
- Only kayaks or canoes are allowed on the water, other personal equipment, such as paddleboards, etc., will NOT be approved to launch. No inflatable kayaks allowed.

How to Find Us
- Look for the Mission Adventure Tours kayaking flag near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Auditorium Circle behind the Tobin Center.
- Check-in will be on the river level behind the Tobin Center.
Where to Park
- Parking lots, garages, and street-metered parking are near the Tobin Center
- Parking IS NOT included in the rental or launch fee price.
- The area has standard sized parking spots and large oversized vehicles such as trailers are not recommended.
What to Bring
- A water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and hat are recommended. You will be standing in a few inches of water getting in and out of the kayak. Bring shoes that can get wet (i.e. strap on sandals or water shoes). Kayaking is a water sport, and you will probably get wet. You might include a change of clothes and a waterproof bag for your keys and cell phone. You can rent a dry bag from Mission Kayak for $5.00 when you arrive.
