La Villita, south of the River Walk in downtown San Antonio, was originally settled nearly 300 years ago as one of the city's first neighborhoods. In 1939, La Villita Historic Arts Village was established and the neighborhood was adapted into a center for teaching regional arts and crafts and to serve as an artists market. Today, nearly 30 shops and galleries offer distinct handcrafted items by artists from San Antonio and surrounding areas. You'll find paintings, folk art, textiles, sculptures, copper wares, jewelry, and more. Plus, in the midst of these tree-lined walkways and plazas, enjoy a savory culinary experience at the area restaurants with options ranging from traditional Mexican flavors to steakhouse favorites. Our Founder, James Avery, saw beauty in the world around him and was inspired to capture it in his jewelry designs to reflect the things important in life. Our designs are timeless, their appeal universal. We offer jewelry for special occasions and everyday wear. Whether it’s a first communion cross, a wedding band or a commemorative charm, each piece in our collection is crafted with the same care and attention to detail as it was more than 60 years ago. Our Customers often have a unique connection and stories tied to their James Avery pieces.

Pearl is a neighborhood and like all great neighborhoods it has a rich history that is added to and upheld by the many people who have ties to the place - the buildings, the river, the brewery since it was founded in 1881. Pearl is also a place where we like to get together – to share meals, to learn, to work, to live. With 324 apartments, fifteen restaurants and cafes, thirteen retailers and eighteen resident businesses as well as a twice weekly Farmers Market, this neighborhood is always full of life and activity.
We invite friends, neighbors and visitors to join us in our plaza, in our park spaces and at our year round series of music, food and cultural events and enjoy our position on the beautiful Northern reach of the San Antonio River steps from the San Antonio Museum of Art, The Do Seum and Brackenridge Park.
