The Spanish Governor’s Palace, a National Historic Landmark, is the last visible trace of the Presidio San Antonio de Bexar and the only remaining example in Texas of an aristocratic 18th-century Spanish Colonial town house. Constructed in 1749, it was used as the headquarters and residence of the captain of the San Antonio De Bexar Presidio and given the name the "Spanish Governor's Palace.” The building is a long one-story, U-shaped stone structure covered in stucco that surrounds a traditional Spanish patio and courtyard. Since 1931, it has operated as a Museum of Spanish Colonial History.
The Spanish Governor's Palace is located at 105 Plaza de Armas in San Antonio, Texas 78205. It is open Tuesday-Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The fees are $5 adult regular admission, $3 for seniors and military, and $3 for children ages 7 through 13. Children under the age of seven are free. For admission or rental information, call (210) 224-0601.

The St Anthony, the most beloved of all San Antonio luxury hotels, has been restored to the opulence that made her storied halls the haunt of politicos, princesses, and A-list celebrities. Rated as one of Conde Nast Traveler list of Top Hotels in Texas, this designated national historic landmark has been fully renovated to offer the grace, style, and service of a bygone era with the modern conveniences today's travelers require. Overlooking Travis Park, our downtown San Antonio hotel is conveniently located just three blocks from both the Alamo and the River Walk.
Happy Hour at Haunt 5-7pm every weekday.
When Col. Travis drew his famous line in the sand, the lone person not to cross was Moses Rose. After 10 days of fighting, Moses had enough and left...but where did he go? He needed a Hideout! And he found one! Right smack in the heart of the tourist district, just off the corner of Alamo St. and Houston St., Moses Rose's Hideout feels like it has been here since ol' Moses first wandered in 175 years ago! The building is a beautiful old structure with old brick construction and antique tin ceilings dating to the early 1900's.
We've livened the place up with a full bar, Live Music, 10 TV's with lots of sports, a full menu with Mose's favorite Texas foods, along with Santa Anna's favorite Mexican foods: Texican food! One last thing- how good would this Hideout be without a password entry? All guest will be required to know the password to enter, but NO WORRIES if you don't know the password! All “Texas Worthy” guests will be allowed inside! We look forward to seeing you at Moses Rose's Hideout soon!

This is the joint your mama warned you about. Dick's serves up buckets of barbecued ribs, chicken, catfish, shrimp and crab legs. Platters include steaks, crabby cakes, salmon, and even salads for the wimpy eater. Lunch includes sandwiches, salads and buckets of good food. The wait staff is irreverent by design, and the decor is local garage-sale stuff. Seventy-four kinds of beer. No cover, no dress code and definitely no class. Billed as "The Rowdy of the River".
Fronted by an exeptional view of the water, there's patio seating year 'round. Come see why Dick's has been River Walk legend since the craziness began in 1987!

San Antonio-style Mexican food. Serving on the banks of the River Walk since 1946.
The restaurant founded in 1946 by Alfred F. Beyer, sits on land first granted title in 1777 by the King of Spain. The Spanish Colonial period hacienda became the core of the new business. The cedar door and window lintels, the fireplace, and thick rock walls, are still evident inside the building.
Casa Rio was the first San Antonio business to open its doors to the River and take advantage of the River's setting. Canoes, gondolas, and paddle boats, evolving into tour and dinner boats, began here and helped create the Riverwalk of today.
Our picturesque location combined with our authentic Mexican food menu offer the perfect setting for your next dinner party, banquet, reception, family gathering or celebration.
Casa Rio offers lunch, dinner and cocktail boat service. Casa Rio makes arrangements with the private boat operator on behalf of the party’s host. Casa Rio provides all the necessary food and beverage services on board the boat. Reservations are made based upon availability of boats. The standard riverboat-dining cruise takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 people per boat for meal service (lunch and dinner) and up to 30 people per boat for cocktail cruises. Prices are based on a minimum of 10 adults per boat for food and beverage service.
For over 50 years Casa Rio has been serving San Antonio and those who visit our great city. Visit us today!
