The San Antonio Museum of Art’s collection represents 5,000 years of history and culture from every region of the world. It includes important works of Egyptian, Greek and Roman, Asian, Latin American, American, European and Contemporary art.
Housed in the former Lone Star Brewery on the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River Walk, the Museum is an enjoyable 30-minute walk from central downtown, and a ten-minute walk from the Pearl retail and restaurant complex.
The Museum hosts hundreds of events and public programs each year, including concerts, performances, tours, lectures, and family events.
