Bud Light Mardi Gras Parade & King Rex Coronation February 9, 2010 In this ceremony, the person who eats the slice of cake with a plastic baby hidden inside is crowned as the official 2009 Bud Light Paseo del Rio King Rex. This newly crowned individual is King of the River Walk for the week and will ride in the Bud Light Mardi Gras River Parade accompanied by his entourage. Join us @ 6 pm at Pat O’Brien’s San Antonio. Event is free to the public.

Clear Wireless Mardi Gras Arts & Crafts Show 2/12/2010 - 2/14/2010 An Arts & Crafts Show is featured throughout the weekend along the River Walk Extension. Each artisan handcrafts original designs that can only be seen on the San Antonio River Walk. Applications for the Mardi Gras Arts & Crafts Show are due by January 15, 2010. Get the Application here.

BUD LIGHT Mardi Gras River Parade Saturday, February 13, 2010 A procession of decorated river barges will transform the San Antonio River Walk into a floating Bourbon Street. Krewes of costumed revelers & live entertainment will celebrate Mardi Gras San Antonio Style! Join us for an after party beginning @ 6 pm @ Pat O’Brien’s San Antonio. Event is free to the public.

Guinness Dyeing O' the River Green & St. Patrick's Day Parade Saturday, March 13, 2010 Floats release 35 pounds of environmentally friendly green dye into the San Antonio River. The event transforms the 2.5 mile river into a miniature Emerald Isle where a proclamation is read, temporarily re-naming the river "The River Shannon". On Saturday, March 13th, beginning at 2:00pm, the annual St. Patrick's Day River Parade provides everyone on the River Walk an opportunity to enjoy yet another parade of barges, commemorating St. Patrick. Dyeing of the River Green - 2 pm St. Patrick's Day River Parade – 2pm Arneson Theatre Entertainment – 1-6pm Free to the public Pub Crawl - 6:00pm to 10:00pm ($10.00)

Ford Children's Festival Saturday, April 17, 2010 The only KID event during FIESTA week! Festival with live entertainment mascots, face painting, moon bounce, games, and more! The event is held at Rivercenter Mall and is free to the public.

FORD Mariachi Festival 4/20/2010 - 4/23/2010 Local middle school and high school Mariachi Bands perform on floating barges along the River Walk during FIESTA from 7 pm - 10 pm. Free to the public.

FORD Canoe Challenge August 14, 2010 Over 90 canoe teams compete in the FORD Canoe Challenge…local celebrities, city officials, corporate teams and Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts compete in timed heats. The race begins at the Chamber of Commerce, heads east through and around the Convention Center Lagoon, through the Rivercenter Mall Lagoon and ends back at the Chamber of Commerce. Whether its jewelry, pottery or fine art you are interested in, you can get a head start on your holiday shopping. Enjoy a stroll along the picturesque River Walk, stop to talk to our vendors who are anxious to share information about their craft, and take home an item that will enhance your wardrobe or home. DOS EQUIS Pachanga del Rio September 9, 2010 Ticket holders enjoy sampling culinary offerings from 20 participating River Walk establishments from 6:00pm until 8:30pm. Then, all party-goers are encouraged to go to the Post-Party @ The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum located @ 318 E. Houston Street (8:45pm-11pm) where drawings will be conducted throughout the evening for great prizes and live music will top off Pachanga del Rio, "The Taste of the River Walk." Tickets available through the Paseo del Rio Association offices. Tickets are now on sale. You may purchase tickets Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm by calling 210-227-4262 or @ 110 Broadway Suite 500. Tickets may be purchased Sept. 9 after 2pm @ the Rivercenter Mall Lagoon @ 849 E. Commerce until 6:45 pm for $30.00. Will-call will be open at River Center Mall Lagoon from 4pm-6:30pm. .

FORD Holiday River Parade & Lighting Ceremony Friday, November 26, 2010 At 7:00 p.m. on the Friday following Thanksgiving, the switch is thrown and approximately 122,000 twinkling lights form a magical canopy over San Antonio's River Walk. The lights shine brightly every evening through January 1. The lighting ceremony is the official kickoff to the Paseo Del Rio Holiday Festivities. It's a Texas-size celebration that's Pure San Antonio! Tickets are sold through the Paseo Del Rio Association at (210) 227-4262. For over 20 years, the spectacular one-hour parade along San Antonio's River Walk has featured illuminated floats with celebrities, bands and lavishly-costumed participants. Over 150,000 people will gather along the River Walk to watch the spectacle live along the parade route. Millions more will join in the fun watching the television broadcast. Reserved seating is available along the parade route.

FORD Holiday Boat Caroling 11/27/2010 - 12/19/2010 Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk as more than 185 school, church, company, and civic choral groups ring in the holidays by singing traditional carols on cruising boats. The eclectic mix of participants includes bell choirs, folk groups, Latino ensembles, and hearing impaired performers. Join visitors from around the world in impromptu sing-a-longs from the patios of River Walk restaurants.

FORD Fiesta de las Luminarias 12/3/2010 - 12/19/2010 Experience the Holiday serenity of the River Walk as you stroll along the lush banks of the San Antonio River guided by more than 6,000 luminarias. Warmly glowing candles in sand filled bags line the walkways to symbolically mark the "lighting of the way" for Holy Family. This centuries old tradition begins at dusk Friday, Saturday & Sunday only.
